Patrick Francis Hunt, age 65 of Mankato died Sunday, January 23, 2011 at Immanuel-St. Joseph Hospital in Mankato.

Pat was born on December 31, 1945 in Mitchell, South Dakota to Kathleen (Hayden) and Francis E. Hunt and grew up in North Mankato, MN. He graduated from Mankato High School in 1965 and was employed by the FE Hunt Accounting firm for many years.

Pat was an avid sports fan and was especially fond of the Minnesota Vikings and Twins. He enjoyed walleye fishing and time spent at "the lake".

Pat is survived by his brothers, Chuck (Kathy) of New London, MN; Bob of Walker, MN; sisters, Mary of Independence, MO; Monica (Jim) Oberle of Mankato; Madeline (Russ) Veroeven; and Beth (Kevin) Montgomery of North Mankato; nieces and nephews, Tricia and Rosemary Hunt; Andy, Dan and Clare Oberle; Laura and Anna Veroeven; and Luke Montgomery as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. He is also survived by his dear friend Pam Ness and caregivers Mary, Ann, Vi and Kendra.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents Kathleen and Francis Hunt and infant niece Kathleen Margaret Oberle.

A private funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, with burial at Calvary Cemetery in Mankato. Memorials are preferred to United Cerebral Palsy.
