Retired piano teacher and homemaker, Dora Pritchard, 95, of Thornton, CO and former resident of Lake Crystal died May 2, 2004 at Brighton Care Center, Brighton, CO.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church in Lake Crystal, with Pastor Kaye Brandt officiating. There will be time to visit with the family following the service. Private burial is in Hebron Cemetery. Lake Crystal Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
Dora (Gustafson) Pritchard was born in Judson, Blue Earth County, October 13, 1908 to Charles A. and Ida (Peterson) Gustafson. She attended school in Judson, graduated from Mankato High School in 1925, and from Gustavus Adolphus College, St. Peter in 1929. After graduation she taught at Judson School for one year. She married George E. Pritchard on June 12, 1935, in Judson. She was a piano teacher for 61 years and organist in the Bethany Lutheran Church in Judson and in the First United Methodist Church in Lake Crystal. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Crystal Study Club, Bridge Club, and of the Mankato Symphony Guild.
Survived by a son, G. Douglas Pritchard and wife Janet, of Stillwater, MN, a daughter, Mary Weed and husband Leslie James, of Thornton, CO; sister-in-law Helen Pritchard (Lyle), seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
