Ralph D. Terrell, age 85, of Elysian died Monday, March 22, 2004 at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Minneapolis.

Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 26, 2004 at All Saints Catholic Church in Madison Lake with Rev. Patrick Arens officiating. Interment with military honors in Calvary Cemetery, Madison Lake. Visitation 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Mankato Mortuary and one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.

Mr. Terrell was born August 19, 1918 in Elysian Township to Daniel F. and Evelyn (Ewing) Terrell. He married Margaret F. Milbrath on February 25, 1941 in Waterville. Ralph served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was stationed in the Aleutian Islands. Ralph farmed and worked for Brown Construction Co., Lovett Blacktop Plant in Savage as a foreman/operator, James Brothers and Farmers Co-op in Elysian. He was a lifelong farmer, mechanic and an avid card player. He attended All Saints Catholic Church. Ralph was a member of American Legion Post #269 of Madison Lake, Moose Lodge of Mankato, 49ers Union, and ARC.

Survived by 14 children, Fayette (Harry Jr.) Misner, Kay (Robert) Coopman, Joan Silbaugh, Penny Terrell, Ralph H. (Carrie) Terrell, Margaret (Ed) Lessick, Elizabeth Terrell, Blair Terrell, Patrick Terrell, Judith (Robert) OMalley, Timothy (Robin) Terrell, Christine Terrell, Jeanne (Timothy) Duke, Maureen Terrell; 25 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; three siblings, Ruth Weber, Donna Dvoracek, Lee (Sandy) Terrell; many nephews, nieces and cousins. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, beloved wife, grandson, Brian Scholtes; granddaughter, and a brother, Daniel.
