Margaret Ritt

Margaret L. Susie Ritt, age 91 of Mankato died Saturday, March 20, 2004 at Mankato Lutheran Home in Mankato.

Private services were held at Mankato Mortuary with Rev. Wayne Eichstadt of Immanuel Lutheran Church officiating. Interment was in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery. Memorials were preferred to an organization of the donors choice.

Mrs. Ritt was born April 26, 1912 in Mankato to Paul and Anna (Seifert) Hedt. She graduated from Mankato High School in 1930. Susies church was very important to her. She was baptized, confirmed and married at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Mrs. Ritt was united in marriage to Edward W. Eddie Ritt on May 29, 1938 in Mankato. Susie had worked for Rosenberger and Currier Candy Company and for Mocols Grocery. Susie enjoyed taking care of family, going to auctions, collecting, reading, watching Minnesota sporting events and reminiscing about historical times and places in Mankato.

Mrs. Ritt is survived by six greatnieces and greatnephews, Kathryn and Paul Durenberger, William Nelson, Richard Skinner Nelson all of Mankato, Patricia, Ted, Charlie Knowles; five great-greatnephews; one great-greatniece; one great-great-greatnephew; and other important people in Susies life include Robert Simmonds, Susan Nelson and Deb Morriem. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1993, two sisters, a brother and two nieces.
