Robert C Becker

Robert C. Becker, age 69 of Mankato, died Sunday, March 14, 2004 at his home.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mankato with Rev. Paul Nolting officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at Mankato Mortuary and one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Bob was born March 16, 1934 in Mankato to Conrad and Anna (Nemitz) Becker. He married Judy Yee on June 21, 1952 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Bob worked at the Free Press for 20 years, owned Becker Construction for five years, and completed his career at Carlson Craft for 20 years. He was a life long member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and had attended Immanuel Lutheran School. He was active in his church and enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, fishing, and hunting. Bob and Judy lived in rural Eagle Lake for 30 years where they raised their eight children.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Becker; eight children, Robert Jr. (Jeanne) Becker, Vickie (Paul) Lyndgaard, Julie (David) Stelter, Pamela(Mac) McKinney, Lee (Kirsten) Becker, Tod (Diane) Becker, Kari (Fred) Friedrichs, Paul (Lisa) Becker; 26 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister Lois Strobel; brother, Dale (Lorraine) Becker; nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
