Arlene Rengstorf, age 81, of Judson died, Wednesday, March 10, 2004 at St. Marys Hospital, Rochester.
Funeral service 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Nicollet, with Pastor Luke Myslik officiating. Interment in the Trinity Ev. Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation on Friday from 4-7 p.m. at Mankato Mortuary and one hour before services at church on Saturday. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to an organization of the donors choice.
Arlene was born April 9, 1922 to Herman William and Amanda Bertha (Lawrenz) Wendt in Redwood County, MN. She graduated from Lamberton High School and went on to Lamberton Teachers Training and Mankato State University. She married Harvey E. Rengstorf on November 29, 1944 at St. Matthews Lutheran Church, Waterbury Township, rural Lamberton, Minnesota. She was a homemaker and member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, Nicollet and the Ladies Guild.
She is survived by two sons and their wives, Richard Dick and Mary Rengstorf and Robert Bob and Linda Rengstorf all of Judson; three grandchildren, April, Travis, and Megan; one brother, Pete Wendt of Lamberton; four sisters, Ruth Kersten of Springfield, Dorothy Coulter of Lamberton, Helen Fischer of Judson, Rosella Buddensiek and her husband, Mel of Mankato; a sister-in-law and her husband, Violet and Edwin Fischer of Judson; nephews, nieces, cousins, and her special friend, Niles.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey in 1995 and several siblings.
