Arnold C. Erickson, age 91, of Rapidan, MN, died February 26, 2004 at Banner Garden Hospice House in Mesa, AZ. A memorial service will be held in May at Calvary Lutheran Church in Rapidan. Arrangements are with Mankato Mortuary.

Arnold was born on April 20, 1912 in Rapidan Township, Blue Earth County, MN. He was the son of Christopher and Mathilda (Knutson) Erickson. Arnold attended school in Rapidan. He was united in marriage to Helen Mosher on October 16, 1937 in Mankato, MN. Arnold was employed as a hydro-operator in Rapidan for N.S.P., and retired in 1977. He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Rapidan, and also the Sportsmans Club, the East League Horseshoe Club, the Apache Horseshoe League, and is in the MN Horseshoe Hall of Fame. Arnold enjoyed traveling, bowling, and pitching horseshoes. He and Helen had been spending winters in Mesa, AZ.

Arnold is survived by his wife, Helen of Rapidan; five children and their spouses, Carol and Robert Schneiderhan of Mankato, Robert and Ann Erickson of Belle Plaine, Nancy and Darwin Mathews of Eyota, Gene and Janice Erickson of Good Thunder, Terry and Marilyn Erickson of Rapidan; thirteen grandchildren, Thomas, Alan, Cheryl, and Cynthia Schneiderhan, Scott Erickson, Kevin Erickson and his wife, Tiffany, Randy Erickson and his wife, Amy, Gina Struckmann and her husband, Jim, Damon and Sean Erickson, Heather Erickson and her husband, Jeff, Mathew and Joshua Erickson; sixteen great-grandchildren, Elena and Erin Schneiderhan, Stanton and Jacob Schneiderhan, Hanah and Hazel Schneiderhan, Jordan and Courtney Erickson, Kyle Erickson, Casey and Chelsey Struckmann, Jordann, Ashleigh, and Alex Erickson, and Taylor and Megan Juliar.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Colleen.
