George Robert Frederick of Madison Lake passed away at his home on October 10, 2010.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at All Saints Catholic Church in Madison Lake with Father Robert Schneider officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Madison Lake. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at Mankato Mortuary with a 7p.m. Rosary. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.

George was born February 22, 1931 in Mankato to Louis P. and Margaret (Westra) Frederick of Madison Lake. He attended All Saints School in Madison Lake and graduated from Mankato High School in 1949. From 1952 to 1954 George served in the United States Army. He married Audrey J. Rausch on April 14, 1955 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mankato. George was employed by Continental Can Company and retired in 1992. He enjoyed his retirement fishing, gardening, traveling, and especially spending time with his family and friends.

George is survived by his wife, Audrey; children, Doug (Connie) Frederick of Roseville, CA, Peg (Bill) Tacheny of Madison Lake, Steven P. Frederick of Mankato, Darrell J. Frederick of Madison Lake; grandchildren, Chris (Katie) Frederick, Nicole, Liza, Mari, and Laura Tacheny, Derek McDaniels, Shannan McDaniels; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Jean (Gerald) Domas of Eagle Lake, Wayne (Cathie) Frederick of McMinnville, OR, Kevin Frederick of Elysian; brother-in-law, Ted (Yvonne) Rausch; sisters-in-law, Betty Rausch, Judy Frederick, and LeeAnn Frederick; nieces and nephews; and many other family members and friends.

George was preceded in death by his parents, brother John Frederick, brother-in-law Don Rausch, and sisters-in-law Dorothy Rausch and Laurie Frederick.
