Rick W. Bossow, age 55, of Mankato, died Monday, September 27, 2010 at Immanuel St. Joseph's Hospital, Mankato.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 2, 2010 at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, North Mankato. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m., Friday at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour before service at church on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, American Cancer Society, or Grace Lutheran Church " Sioux City, IA.

Rick was born May 5, 1955 to Raymond F.C. and Lillian L. (Roberts) Bossow in Sioux City, IA. He graduated from Sioux City East High School in 1973 and from the University of Northern Iowa " Cedar Falls in 1978 with a B.S. degree in Education. He was a public school teacher in Union-Whitten and Mondamin, IA and Wellton, AZ. He then ran Pretzelmaker Stores in Spencer and Mason City, and worked in the Spencer Public Schools. He was presently a substitute teacher in the Lake Crystal Schools. Rick was united in marriage to Glenda L. Kramer Williams on February 9, 2008 in North Mankato. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Rick enjoyed camping, bike riding, card playing, fishing, and golfing.

Rick is survived by his wife, Glenda of Mankato; children, Rachael Bossow of Leavenworth, KS, Carsten (Jessica) Bossow of Oceanside, CA, Rebecca Bossow of West Des Moines, IA and Aaron Bossow of Ames, IA; step-children, Sarah Williams of Cary, NC, Tom Williams of North Mankato, Cynthia (Suman) Hoque of West Des Moines, IA, Annie Williams of Mankato; brother, Ray Bossow of Sioux City, IA; two sisters, Barb (Warren) Backer of Farmington, MN and Cindy (Mike) Manley of Grand Island, NE; many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Rodney; three sisters, Judy Hansen, Linda Lockwood, and Valetta Cass.
