Amy L Anderson

Amy Lucile Anderson, age 88, of Lake Crystal, passed away peacefully in her sleep Monday, September 13, 2010 at Laurel's Peak in Mankato.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 16, 2010 at Hosanna Lutheran Church in Mankato with Rev. Andy Ritchie officiating. Burial will be in Jerusalem Cemetery rural Lake Crystal. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m., until the time of the service Thursday at church. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be given to ISJ Hospice.

Amy was born May 1, 1922 to Synda and Dora (Hennager) Devens in Mankato. Amy was united in marriage to Albin C. "Bob" Anderson on August 3, 1943 in Mankato. After her marriage Amy worked during World War II in war production. Following the war she raised her family. Amy returned to work for Tony Downs in Madelia and retired from National Poly in Mankato. She and her husband refinished furniture and did upholstery work. Amy was a member of the Morson Ario Ladies Auxiliary and Hosanna Lutheran Church in Mankato. She enjoyed spending time with family, including trips to Colorado, the Black Hills, California, and Branson, puzzles, baking apple bars, day trips, and listening to music. The most important parts of Amy's life included her husband and family.

Amy is survived by three daughters, Linda Ulferts of Mankato, Janis (Robert) Lewis of Lake Crystal, Sheree (Bob) Dittrich of Rapidan; one son, Brad (Eileen) Anderson of rural Lake Crystal; daughter-in-law, Donna Anderson of Willmar; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Gene Devens of Montana, Raymond (Lucy) Devens of Arizona; three sisters-in-laws, Verda Devens, Mary Devens, and Carol McKee all of Mankato; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Amy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob in 1999; son, Steven in 2003; son-in-law, Werner Ulferts; sister, Harriet Anderson; brothers, Harold, Wilford, Rodney, Milton, Richard, Billy, and an infant brother.
