Joyce Sandstrom

Joyce E. Sandstrom, age 73 of Lake Crystal died Monday, February 16, 2004, at Immanuel-St. Josephs Hospital, Mankato.

Funeral service 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church in Lake Crystal with Rev. Nancy Dreier officiating. Burial in Lake Crystal Cemetery. Visitation one hour before services at the Church on Thursday. Lake Crystal Mortuary in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Sandstrom was born April 6, 1930 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Homer and Louise (Peyman) Anderson. She graduated from Fairmont High School. She married McLain Sandstrom on June 8, 1957 in Lake Crystal. She worked at V-Tek for 14 years and was currently working in the shipping department at Carlson Craft. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She enjoyed fishing, camping, and was an avid Twins fan.

Survived by husband, McLain Sandstrom of Lake Crystal; three daughters, JoAnn Bode of Mankato, Lynda Menne and husband, Doug of Lake Crystal, Diane Collis of Mankato; two grandchildren, Jessica McGinley and husband, Jason of Minneapolis, Charles Menne of Lake Crystal; two great-grandchildren, Jezayah and Jason McGinley. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son-in-law, Tom Bode.
