Benjamin Engel

Benjamin W. Engel, age 24, of North Mankato, died Friday, January 30, 2004 at his residence.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 3, 2004 at St. Pauls Evangelical Lutheran Church, North Mankato with Rev. Charles Vannieuwenhoven officiating. Visitation Monday from 4-7 p.m. at Mankato Mortuary and one hour before services at church on Tuesday.

Benjamin was born September 11, 1979 in St. Peter to Wyman and Ann (Gerdes) Engel. He graduated from Mankato West High School in 1998 and was attending Minnesota State University Mankato. He was a member of the Elks Club of Mankato. He was a member of St. Pauls Evangelical Lutheran Church of North Mankato. Benjamin enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his parents, Wyman and Ann Engel of North Mankato; two sisters, Katie Engel and her fianc Chris Kruse, Valerie Engel all of North Mankato; brother, Christopher Engel of North Mankato; maternal grandmother, Barb Gerdes of LeSueur; uncles, aunts, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents and maternal grandfather.
