Aline was born May 24, 1930 to Robert “Les” and Hazel (Jones) Roberts in Mankato. She was united in marriage to Gary Kranz on November 19, 1950 in Garden City. Their union was blessed with six children. They belonged to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Amboy where Aline played organ for many years. Aline was a kind and caring person who loved to spend time with family and friends.

Aline kept books at both Kranz TV & Appliance and Kranz Implements. She was a wonderful cook; no one left her home hungry. She enjoyed many summers at Lake Jefferson and winters in Mesa. Proud of her Welsh heritage, she joined a Welsh Choir. She handed down her love of music to her children.

Aline is survived by loving husband, Gary, of Amboy; children, Craig Kranz of Mankato, Kay (Dave) Wendelschafer of Cleveland, Kristine (Jim) Houtman of Orono, John (Valerie) Kranz of Amboy, and Cara (Yooshik Jeon) Kranz of Chicago; grandchildren, Nicole, Diedre, Adam, Alissa, Katie Jo, Skyler, Justine, Alix, Rheana, Charlie, Leo, and Owen; great-grandchildren, Bellamy, Mila, Elijah, MacKinnon, Holland, Charlotte, Audrey, Belinda, and James; daughter-in-law, Shelly Owen of Minneapolis; sisters, Roberta (David) Johnson of Amboy and Barbara Cifarelli of Las Vegas; sister-in-law, Betty Dorn of North Mankato; and many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all.

Aline was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Ann; sisters, Lorraine, Lillian, and Muriel; and brothers, Bill and Lyle.

The family would like to thank the dedicated and hardworking staff at Mapleton Community Home for their loving care and compassion for the last seven years.
