Allan Dean Asleson, Age 92, of Madison Lake, died on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at the home of Steven and Patty Asleson of Waterville.

Memorial Service will be held July 27, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Visitation will be July 26 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Woodland Hills Memorial Park. The service will be livestreamed at www.mankatomortuary.com. Memorials are preferred to Bethlehem Lutheran Church or the donor’s choice. 

Allan Dean Asleson was born on May 9, 1932, in Hanska to Arnold and Selma (Christenson) Asleson. He graduated from Madelia High School in 1950. On July 26, 1952, Allan was united in marriage to Virginia (Ginny) Chamberlain. They lived in Mankato until June 1974, when they moved to their home on Lake Ballantyne. Allan worked at ADM and then Hubbard Milling Company for 42 years.

Allan is survived by his children, David Asleson, Judy Anderson, Steven (Patty) Asleson, Gail (Bill) Vagts, Barbara (David) Conrad, and Jane (Rich) Resutek; 22 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Gene Haefner; sister, Sharon Kutches; step-sister, Eda Engles; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ginny Asleson; daughter, Cheryl Haefner; father, Arnold Asleson; mother, Selma Thorstad; brothers and sisters-in-law, Arden and Dorothy Asleson and David and Thelma Asleson; brother-in-law, Lowell Kutches; daughter-in-law, Donna Asleson; son-in-law, Brian Anderson; step-father, Lonnie Thorstad; and step-brother, Myron Thorstad.
