Amanda Nusser and Ross Fredrickson

February 17, 1992 — March 16, 2025

Saint Peter, MN

Amanda Nichole Nusser, 33, and her unborn child Ross James Fredrickson (due April 1, 2025) passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 16, 2025.

Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm Thursday, March 27, 2025 at Northview- North Mankato Mortuary with visitation one hour prior.

Amanda was born on February 17, 1992 to Douglas and Theresa (Moldestad) Nusser in Mankato, MN. She was raised in Mankato and graduated from Loyola Catholic school in 2010. She was in the Mankato 77 Lancers Marching Band during her time there.

Amanda worked with Doug and Theresa at the Civic Center. She loved music and loved the excitement of setting up the concerts. Amanda found her way to Care Corner Daycare and worked her way up to Lead Teacher in the infant room. She made sure all of the babies knew they were wanted and loved while she was around. Amanda felt a calling to work with children in need, so she accepted a job at the Welcome Manor working with children of mothers with addictions. Which eventually, led her on the path to becoming a paraprofessional. Amanda felt she needed to do more for children who needed more one on one support. She wanted them to know someone cared about them and wanted them to succeed. She was a cheerleader at heart for all children.

Amanda's love for children started the day she was told her parents were expecting her brother, Anthony. The moment any of her siblings were brought home, she was always by Theresa’s side wanting to help with whatever she could. Since there was an 8-year difference between them, she eventually was able to babysit them and took the job seriously. Her connection with her siblings was always very strong, even when they weren’t together, they Snap Chatted daily. Amanda truly felt like a second mom to Nataska and Nikita.

Whether it be crochet, diamond art, or even smiles, Amanda was always crafting something. She loved a good road trip or just to travel, in general. Her favorite movie being the Nightmare Before Christmas taught her that, “Love is Eternal”. Amanda truly loved deeply, she loved her family, her acquaintances, and she loved the life she was building with her fiancé, Mitchel, their children, and their unborn child, Ross. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, a loving auntie, but most of all, a loving dork.

Amanda is survived by her parents, Douglas and Theresa Nusser; fiancé, Mitchel Fredrickson; children, Henry and Eloise Fredrickson; siblings, Anthony (Deena) Nusser, Nataska (Ethan) Bastian, and Nikita Nusser (Claire Burman); nieces and nephews, Lukah and Elisabeth Nusser and Maverick, Maxwell, and Ryder Bastian; Mitchel’s parents, Joey and Bobbi Jo Ballman; Mitchel’s siblings, Grayce, Emmie, and Josi Ballman.

She is preceded in death by her son, Ross Fredrickson; sister, Ann Moldestad; grandparents Arthur and Eunice Moldestad, Eugene Nusser and Margaret Nusser; and uncles, John Moldestad and John Barthel.
