In lieu of flowers, donations in Angie’s memory can be made to the North Mankato Taylor Library (1001 Belgrade Avenue, North Mankato, MN 56003) or the Andreas Cancer Center (Mayo Clinic Health System, ATTN: Andreas Cancer Center, 1025 Marsh Street, Mankato, MN 56001).
Angie was born August 26, 1970 in Montevideo, Minnesota to Gerald and Diane (Doebbert) Berglund. She graduated from Montevideo High School in 1988 and studied International Business and Spanish at Minnesota State University, Mankato. Angie and Duane were married on August 28, 1993 in Montevideo, Minnesota and lived in North Mankato, Minnesota.
She wore so many hats throughout her life, including property manager, paraprofessional, at-home mom, and enthusiastic soccer and dance mom. She devoted her life to her children and was heavily involved in all their activities. Angie loved taking pictures, being with her friends, reading, and spending time in the sun – whether on the patio, the boat, or the beach. Through her, we know what resilience, selflessness, love, and strength truly look like. Just because she is no longer here doesn’t mean she lost her fight.
Angie will be forever loved by her husband, Duane Peters of North Mankato; daughters, Kaitlyn, McKenna, Erin, and Kylie; parents, Gerald and Diane Berglund; mother and father-in law, Jerry and Roxann Peters; brother, Scott Berglund and his wife, Tanya; brother-in-law, Darrell Peters and his wife, Heather; sister-in-law, Darcy Maslowski and her husband, Ryan; brother-in-law, Joey Golden; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Arnold and Arline Berglund, and Arnold and Eleanor Doebbert; and her sister-in-law, Danna Peters.
