Anita Marie Elliott of Mankato, MN passed away December 13, 2019, at the age of 67.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, December 19 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Private family burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
Anita was born on January 31, 1952, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Jack and Lesley Boylan. Anita spent most of her early years in Centerville, Iowa, and graduated high school there in 1970. She received a BS in Nursing from Northeast Missouri State University in 1974. Anita was united in marriage to Kevin Elliott on May 18, 1974, in Centerville, Iowa. She worked as an RN for 37 years, with 20 of those years as a unit manager with St. Peter Community Health Care Center/Benedictine Living Community in St. Peter, MN. Anita was an excellent nurse, but her biggest accomplishes in life were as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved to read, travel, and spend time with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Mankato, MN.
Anita is survived by her husband of 45 years, Kevin Elliott of Mankato, MN; daughter, Beth (Matt) Berg of Crystal, MN; son, Mike (Rachel) Elliott of Apple Valley, MN; and son, Adam (Kirsten) Elliott of Mankato, MN; as well as eight grandchildren, Jackson and Natalie Berg, Mackayla, Abby, and Jacob Elliott, and Madden, Ace, and Olive Elliott.
Anita was preceded in death by her parents and her only sibling, David Boylan.
