Ann Marie Richard

Ann Marie Richard, age 66, of Mankato, passed from this world surrounded by family and friends on December 12, 2023 following a tough battle with cancer. She will be dearly missed.

Born to Dorothy E. and William J. Richard in Madison, MN. She graduated from Madison High School in 1976. During college, she made many of her favorite memories and lifelong friends. Always one of the most brilliant in her class, she had many academic achievements. Ann graduated from Mankato State University and St. Cloud State University.

Ann had two children with her ex-husband, and they were the two guiding lights of her life. A loving mother, she raised her children in Inver Grove Heights, MN while working as an Insurance Examiner for the Department of Commerce.

Ann is survived by her two sons, Daniel R. Grundl of Denver, CO and Adam W. Grundl of Mankato; siblings, Mary E. Richard of Mankato and Dave J. Richard of Montevideo; and her nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am, Saturday, January 6, 2024 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 412 West 3rd Street, Madison, MN 56256. Visitation will be held one hour prior to Mass. Burial will follow at St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery.
