Ardith Giroux

Ardith Giroux, a beautiful person, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, left us on April 17, 2019.

Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m.  on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at the Northview – North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Drive, North Mankato. Private family interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Mankato.

A memorial visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at the Northview – North Mankato Mortuary and also for one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

Ardith Delores, the daughter of Odin and Gladys (Enderson) Bergan, was born on August 29, 1932 in Belview, MN. She graduated from Mankato High School. On January 16, 1954, Ardith married Richard “Dick” Giroux. She worked part time at Carlson Craft but spent most of her time being a wife and mother. Ardith was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, the Red Hat Society, the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and Curves. She enjoyed golfing, playing cards, casinos, traveling with family and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Richard “Dick” Giroux; children, Mary (Bill) Upton, Bonnie Giroux, Sherry Giroux-Anderson, and Karen (Darryl) DeRemer; grandchildren, Nicholas (Holly) Upton, Lanee Upton, Kyle (Katie) Westberg, Kasey (Nate) Anderson, Korby Anderson, Jason Giroux, Melissa (John) Kruse, and Amy Giroux; 11 great grandchildren; four sisters, Sharon, Margaret, Gloria and Susan; and brother in law, Don (Ann) Giroux.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Rick Giroux; grandson, Corey Anderson; and five siblings.
