Barbara A. Arnett, age 70, of Mankato died Monday, February 13, 2023.
A Celebration of Barbara’s Life will be held at Jake's Pizza in Mankato on Saturday, March 4th at 1:00pm.
Barbara was born September 4, 1952, to Donald J. and Theresa A. (Muldoon) Denn in Mankato. She graduated from St. Clair High School in 1970 and later graduated from MSU-Mankato with a degree in Journalism. Barb had been employed by MSU-Mankato, St. Peter Regional Treatment Center, Mayo Clinic-Rochester, Open Door Clinic, and as a medical transcriptionist.
In life, Barb loved animals and rescuing animals. She loved Minnesota weather, her angels, and gardening. Most of all she loved her family. Barb never was a materialistic person. Instead, she gave with all she had until the end of her days. Barb never met a stranger. She welcomed each person she met with open arms and she did so with a smile on her face. She made sure you left her company better than when you stepped into it. Barb had a way with words. She could tell a story like no other and she always had the best advice to grow you out of any situation. This came from her strength and her deep love for humanity. Barb had strong faith and her prayers could move mountains. She was the definition of unconditional love and she shined that love and light on everyone who met her in her 70 years here on this earth. This world was certainly better with her in it and it definitely won’t be the same now that she has left. Without a doubt her love and light will live on with us and through us in all that she taught us.
Barb is survived by two children, Erin Arnett and Sean Arnett; beloved grandson, Luke Arredondo; five siblings including, Mike (Janet) Denn, Janet (Chuck) Netzke, Kathy (Jerry) Depuydt, Dianne Denn, Tim Denn; aunt and uncle, Bob (Val) Gerbasi, and extended family.
Barb was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Pat Denn.
