Barbara E. Hill

Barbara E. Hill, age 79, of Madison Lake, died on Saturday, May 2, 2020 at her home.

A graveside service will be held at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Elysian at a later date. 

Barbara was born on June 11, 1940 in Mankato to Ernest and Elizabeth (Veverka) Fasnacht.  She graduated from Mankato High School.  Barb was united in marriage to Robert “Buck” Hill and they were later divorced.  She worked various jobs and was a caregiver for her mother.  Barb enjoyed the daily crossword puzzle in the newspaper.  She was a very kind and generous person.  Barb loved most of all spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Barb is survived by her children, James Jay (Teresa) Hill of Elysian, Lisa (Lance) Alm of Sandstone, and Marna (Casey) Schaub of Elysian; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, John Fasnacht and Walter Fasnacht, both of Madison Lake; and sister, Rose (John) Hiniker of Nicollet.  She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Robert John Hill.
