Barbara Rowland, age 84, of North Mankato, formerly of Marion, IA was welcomed into heaven on March 31, 2021 at Monarch Meadows in North Mankato. 

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Northview.  Burial will be at Cedar Memorial in Cedar Rapids, IA.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Mayo Hospice or Vista Prairie at Monarch Meadows. 

Barbara was born on November 11, 1936 in Clinton, IA to Floyd and Iva (Kincaid) Lawrence.  Barb graduated from Clinton High School.  Barb was united in marriage to William C. Rowland on January 22, 1967 in Clinton, IA.  Barb worked for Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids, IA for many years.  Barb was a member of the Oakland Church of Nazarene.  She was a resident ambassador at Monarch Meadows with Bill.  Barb was known as the cookie lady to all that knew her. 

Barb is survived by her husband, William Rowland of North Mankato (formerly of Marion, IA); children, Bruce (Pam) Rowland of Petersburg, MI, Bambi (Dean) Wuebker of North Mankato, Kathy Green of Garland, TX, and Lindy Rowland of Mesquite, TX; grandchildren, Crystal Rowland of GA, Sarah Rowland of Macy, NE, Alicia Rowland of Petersburg, MI, Austin (Alyssa) Wuebker of North Mankato, Caylee (Shawn) Ng of Dekalb, IL, Morgan (Dawn) Wuebker of St. Peter, MN, Andrea (Levi) Turner of Wylie, TX, and Gary (Ariana) Green of Forney, TX; great-grandchildren, Quinn, Grayson, Jimi, Cora, Arissa, Kenley, Juliana, and Jayden; sister, Bonnie Foley of Camanche, IA; sister-in-law, Joan Lawrence of Camanche, IA, and Madeline (Bob) Tillema of CA; brother-in-law, Robert (Grace) Rowland of Fulton, IL.  She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; daughter, Vicki; mother and father-in-law; brother-in-law, Howard Rowland. 

Barbara’s family would like to thank the staff with Mayo Hospice and Vista Prairie at Monarch Meadows for their support and loving care they provided.  A special thank you also to Dr. Waclaw Wedzina.
