Service Update for Beatrice "Ann" McGuire
Beatrice "Ann" McGuire, 76, of Mankato, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2022 at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
Memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at St. John Episcople Chruch in Mankato. Visitation one hour before the service at the church on Wednesday. The service will be livestreamed.
Ann passed away after a courageous battle with Lymphoma. Just as she dealt with all experiences in life, Ann managed her illness with strength, and wanted to spend as much time with her loved ones as possible. On her final day, she was surrounded by her children and loving husband.
Ann was born November 27, 1945 to Frederick and Beatrice (Read) Searing in Mankato. She graduated from Mankato State University with a Bachelor of Science in Art Education, and where she met James McGuire. They married in Elmhurst, IL at Our Savior Episcopal Church on October 12, 1968 and after two years living in St. Cloud, MN, they made their lifelong home in Mankato. She worked for District 77 public schools as a Title One aide as well as teaching high potential art classes. In her spare time, she loved spending time with her friends and family, was an active member of P.E.O., enjoying arts and culture, and volunteering at St. John's Episcopal Church with the Altar Guild, Episcopal Church Women, and served on the Vestry.
Ann is survived by her husband, Jim, sons John (Amy) McGuire, Peter (Kimberly) McGuire, and Colin (Louisa Woodfull-Harris) McGuire, sister Wendy (Clayton) Peterson, brother Rick (Susan) Searing, and grandchildren Andrew, Matthew, Jillian, Quinn, Ellen, and Frederick.
Memorials maybe given to St. John’s Episcopal Church or the donor’s choice.
