Bernie Kopachek

Bernie Kopachek, age 90, of Eagle Lake, on January 15, 2022 left this Earth to go home to Almighty God and reunite with her loving husband Gene. As mom enters life eternal, she passes “doggy heaven” and the companionship of her dearest Shorty. With faith the tears of sadness will become tears of joy as she gathers again with lifelong friends and relatives.

Bernie was born on December 1, 1931 in Mankato, MN to Bartholomew and Katherine (Becker) Schneider and was united in marriage to Eugene “Gene” Kopachek on December 29, 1951.

Bernie is survived by sons, James and Richard; granddaughter, Jenni Kopachek and her daughter (great granddaughter) Kayle Baker; granddaughter, Kerri (Isaac) Ferderer and sons (great grandsons), Noah Ferderer and Logan Ferderer and daughter (great granddaughter), Emery Ferderer; granddaughter, Toni (Nicholas) Dick; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at All Saints Catholic Church in Madison Lake. Visitation will be 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Madison Lake. Mankato Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
