Betty J. Wohlford

Betty Jean Wohlford, age 89, of Lake Crystal, died Saturday, May 2, 2020 at Crystal Seasons in Lake Crystal.

Betty was born May 26, 1930 to William and Grace Winifred (Austin) Hinz in Silver Lake Township, Martin County, Minnesota. She graduated from Armstrong High School, Armstrong, IA. Betty was united in marriage to Aaron Pickett on June 4, 1950 and they lived in Fairmont. He died on October 28, 1961. She later married Kenneth Wohlford in December of 1967 and together they retired in Lake Havasu City, AZ where Ken died in September of 2004. Betty was a homemaker for her family and had worked at Harold’s Club in Northrup, MN. She enjoyed going to the casino, playing cards for money, and having cocktails.

Betty is survived by two children, Janet (Jeff) Becker of Lake Crystal and Michael Pickett of Colorado Springs, CO; six grandchildren, Nicole Sorgatz, Amber (Adam) Pahl, Aaron Pickett, Alisha Pickett, James (Michelle) Rouse, and Aaron (Christa) Rouse; several great-grandchildren including, Miranda, Rowan, Grace, and Jackson; sister, Phyllis Dahl of Texas; and extended family.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; daughter, Linda Rouse; son-in-law, Paul Sorgatz; and eight siblings.
