Beverly "Bev" La Von Bartsch

Beverly “Bev” La Von Bartsch, age 88, of Mankato passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2024.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Mankato with visitation one hour prior. Burial will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Rapidan. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to donor’s choice. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Bev was born on May 10, 1935, to Stephen and Edith Mahowald in Mankato, MN. She graduated from Mankato High School in 1953 and then attended commercial college. Bev was united in marriage to Laverne Bartsch on June 25, 1954, and together they had one son, John.

Bev and her husband owned their own cabinetry business and worked together up until his retirement.  She enjoyed sewing, quilting, baking, gardening, and spending time with family; especially with her great-grandson, Jace.

Bev is survived by her son, John (Dawn); grandchildren, Jeffrey (Katy), Michael, and Mindy (Danny) St. Dennis; great-grandsons, Jace, Mason, Alex, and Brycen; brother, Harlan (Diane) Mahowald; sister-in-law, Norma (Roland) Harms, as well as nieces, nephews, and friends.

Bev was preceded in death by her husband, Laverne, and parents, Stephen and Edith Mahowald.
