Brandy Jean Flowers, age 40, of Mankato, died Sunday, December 15, 2019 surrounded by her family in Mankato.
Celebration of Brandy's Life will be held at 10am, Saturday, December 21, 2019 at New Creation World Outreach Church in Mankato.
Brandy was born February 24, 1979 in Mankato to Jeffrey Flowers and Debra (Guinn) Onken. She could be described as loving, caring, huge-hearted, generous, and the life of the party. She loved all children and her house was always filled with friends. She was creative and enjoyed making crafts for loved ones, fishing, camping, and spending time outside. Above everything else, Brandy loved being a mom and homemaker and attending her kids’ sports events.
Brandy’s loving and caring personality led her to becoming a home health aide with International Quality Home Care.
Brandy is survived by her children, Hezekyah Flowers, Malaki Flowers, and Takiyah Flowers; mother, Debra (David) Onken; father, Jeffrey (Deb) Flowers; niece, Nekysha Harris; nephew, Tyler Flowers; foster son, Eli Warnke; aunts and uncles, Margy (Ted) Johnson, Jonna Guinn Brandt, Floyd (Karlee) Guinn, Faith (Ray) Pon, Julie Johnston, Deborah (Ron) Wagner, Bradley (Roxanne) Flowers, Brian (Nicole) Flowers; maternal grandparents, Karen Cook and John (Audrey) Guinn; siblings, Blayr (James) Randolph, Amber (Charles) Derry, April Flowers, Amanda Sullivan, Alesha Sullivan, Danielle (Jarod) Murray, Joshua Onken, Christopher Reinke, Kelly Reinke, and Missy (Chad) Ragan; close friends and godparents to Brandy’s children, Lindsay Huhn, Gayle Braesicke, and Tasha VanNote. Brandy is also survived by many special nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and special kids in her life.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Donald and Karen Flowers and Howard Cook; sister, Ashley Sullivan; brother, Michael Flowers; and godmother, Dixie Smith.
