Bruce P. Baynes, age 73, of Madison Lake, died on Saturday, December 23, 2023, surrounded by his family.
A Celebration of Bruce’s Life will be held on January 13, 2024, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Baynes Farm in Madison Lake. A Private Family interment will be at Marysburg Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
Bruce was born August 7, 1950, to Marshall P. and Joyce A. (Newton) Baynes in St. Peter, MN.
Bruce graduated from Southern School of Agriculture in Waseca, MN.
Bruce farmed alongside his Dad and brothers. After graduation he worked for National Poly Plastics for years. He then started Baynes Trucking Company, hauling grain and then hauling over the road from Midwest to California and other states working for Waymore Transportation Inc. He retired in 2017.
Bruce is survived by his nine siblings, Debra (Bob) DeVlaeminck, Brenda (Jim) Tacheny, Doris (Stormy) Burns, Tom Baynes, Tim Baynes, Barb (Tim) Haley, Brian (Leiha) Baynes, David (Chris) Baynes, and Lisa (Beth) Baynes; nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Joyce; sister-in-law, Sandy Baynes; nephew, Corey Haley and niece, Jennifer Haley.
Bruce’s family would like to extend a special Thank You to our two nieces, Carrie Lager and Brittany Baynes for their quick medical expertise and hard work assisting their uncle, Bruce!
Also a Thank You to the Madison Lake Fire Department, Blue Earth County Sheriff, Mayo Clinic Ambulance Services, and the Mankato Mortuary.
