Bruce Walter Boerner

Bruce Walter Boerner age 74 of Mankato died Monday January 23, 2023.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2023, at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in North Mankato. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Minnesota Valley Lutheran High School. www.mankatomortuary.com 

Bruce was born April 28, 1948, to Alfred and Marion (Willis) Boerner in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He served in the US Army which included a tour in Vietnam before being honorably discharged. Bruce was united in marriage to Arlawayne Engel on May 10, 1970, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nicollet. He worked as an electrician at the St. Peter State Hospital. Bruce was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in North Mankato.

Bruce loved music and was a member of the Mankato Symphony, Garage Band, and the Over 60 Band. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.

Bruce is survived by his wife Arlawayne; three children, Annette (Tim) Schultz, Russell (Naomi) Boerner and Wayne (Rachel) Boerner; eight grandchildren, Faith, Bethany, Isaiah, Madison, William, Matthew, Anthony, and Sophia, also survived by brother, Keith Boerner.
