Bruce E. Hutchens

Bruce E. Hutchens, age 66, of Lake Crystal, died on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Mayo Clinic Health System, Mankato.

A private family graveside service will be held at the Lake Crystal Cemetery.

Bruce was born on February 2, 1953 in Mankato to Cuther and Bernice (Jones) Hutchens. Bruce served in the United States Army from 1970-1972.  He served in Vietnam and fought for his country and was wounded in battle.  Bruce had a daughter, Keri.  He then married Connie Karnes and had two sons, Jesse and Devan.  Bruce and Connie later divorced.  Bruce enjoyed watching sports, especially the Twins.  He also enjoyed watching westerns.  Bruce loved spending time with his family and friends. 

Bruce is survived by his daughter, Keri (Chad) Vanderbeek; sons, Jesse Hutchens and Devan (Annie) Hutchens; grandchildren, Cody and Ashton Vanderbeek; siblings, Virginia (Paul) Greek, Allan (Mary) Hutchens, Nancy (Jerry) Hillesheim, Joan Frank, Barb (Bob) McDonald, John (Becky) Hutchens, Darrell “Porky” (Cathy) Hutchens, Brad (Betsy) Hutchens, and Todd (Teri) Hutchens; many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Richard and Bob.
