Carl D. Anderson

Carl D. Anderson, age 78, of Eagle Lake, died Saturday, December 14, 2019.

Funeral Service 11:00 a.m., Friday at Northview – North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Drive, North Mankato. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Thursday and will continue one hour before service on Friday. Interment will be in Eagle Lake Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.

Carl was born December 25, 1940 to Chet and Marie (Arneman) Anderson in Kasota. He graduated from Mankato High School. Carl served in the United States Army from 1963-65. Carl was united in marriage to Judy Youngs on June 5, 1965 in Eagle Lake. He worked as a repairman at Minnesota State University, Mankato for 38 years. Carl was a very active union member and served the local AFSCME council 5 as President for several years. Carl loved old cars and was a member of Auto Restorers Car Club of Southern, MN. You could find his pride and joy, a 1935 Ford V8 flathead pickup truck at area car and threshing shows. He was also a member of Kato Wheels Camping Club of Mankato for many years.

Carl is survived by his wife, Judy Anderson of Eagle Lake; daughter, Carla (Lynn Van Dam) Anderson of St. Peter; son, Gary Anderson of Eagle Lake; sisters-in-law, Jenene Anderson of Colorado and Sharon Anderson of Eagle Lake; nieces and nephews.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Robert Anderson and Al Anderson; sister, Bonnie (Myron) Olson.
