Carol Ann Armstrong

Carol Ann (Petersen) Armstrong, 63 of Mankato and formerly of Winnebago, died April 22, 2019 at Water’s Edge Assisted in Mankato.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00p.m., Saturday April 27, 2019 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Mankato with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Mankato.

Carol was born December 6, 1955 to Orville and Dorthy (Emery) Petersen in Winnebago, Minnesota. She graduated from Winnebago High School.  Carol worked for Green Giant out of High School and then for MRCI for 18 years. On October 18, 2008, she married Samuel Armstrong at St. John the Baptist Catholic in Mankato.

In her free time, Carol enjoyed watching the Vikings and Twins, crocheting and knitting, and flowers. Carol was a faithful member of St. John the Baptist and was confirmed there two years ago.

Carol is survived by her husband, Samuel; children, Kaylene (Jamie) Kollos and Samuel Jahnke; grandchildren, Aiden and Mason; siblings, James Petersen of Albert Lea, Minnesota, Lucy Edwards of St. Paul, Minnesota, Marsha (Rodney) Anderson of Blue Earth, Minnesota, and Mary Mealman of Esterville, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Steven; sisters, Sue, Janet, Diana, and Shelia; and brothers, Gary, William, Sheldon, Barry, and Mark.
