Carol Jean Moore

Carol Jean Moore, age 85, of Mankato, died Thursday, December 31, 2020 surrounded by her family at home.

Celebration of Carol’s Life will be held at 11am, Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Hosanna Lutheran Church in Mankato with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow at Woodland Hills Memorial Park. Please share a memory of Carol with her family at www.mankatomortuary.com.

Carol was born May 14, 1935 in St. James to Newton and Ina (Johnson) Purdy. ON November 23, 1952, she married Richard W. Moore. Together, they raised six children, Bruce, Richard, Steve, Kevin, Wendy, and Karen.

Carol is survived by her children, Bruce (Michelle) Moore of Forsyth, MO, Richard (Janie) Moore of Albuquerque, NM, Steve (Theresa Ives) Moore of Lake Bay, WA, Wendy (Robert) Holmes of Waldorf, and Karen (Brian Reed) Johnson of Mankato; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard; son, Kevin Moore; and sisters, Peggy Caldon and Lorraine Stinnett.
