Carol was born July 15, 1961 in Mankato to Glenn “Bud” and Elizabeth “Betty” (Muellerleile) Briley. She attended Mankato East High School until sophomore year, then transferred to The Wilson School, where she graduated in 1978. After graduation, she moved to California.

Carol moved back to North Mankato, MN in 1980. She married Frederic “Ric” Staunton III on September 26, 1981 (later divorced). Together, with their three children, moved to a beautiful Victorian home in Minnesota Lake in 1992. She worked several different jobs before earning her real estate license. For over 25 years, she worked as a realtor for agencies such as Action Realty and Century 21 Landmark in Mankato. Later, Carol worked hard to receive a certificate focusing on holistic health. She also earned a pastoral license as she focused on spirituality, and her gift of connecting with people. She shined as she performed baptisms, funerals, and weddings for her dearest family and friends.

She married Mark Parsley in 2005, and their families blended together seamlessly. Mark and Carol had an amazing relationship and they made friends wherever they went. They lived in Mapleton from 2005 until 2016, then purchased a condo in Minnetonka. She loved hosting holidays, especially Easter. Being a grandma was by far Carol’s favorite role in life, and she loved spending time with her family.

Carol is survived by her husband, Mark Parsley, of Minnetonka; children, Frederic “Rickey” (Jenna) Staunton of Carver, Maxwell (Erin) Parsley of Lakeville, Nicholas (Ashley) Staunton of Mankato, Cassandra (Matthew) Giese of New Ulm, Joseph (Jennifer) Parsley of Verona, VA, and Jack Parsley of Mankato; 12 grandchildren, Brayden, Kenley, Emery, Grayson, Eric, Keegan, Giffin, Liam, Gannon, Haleigh, Jorden, Bryson, and one on the way; 2 great-grandchildren, Lyam and Brantley; siblings, Gloria (Ron) Enzenauer of Savage, Barb Monson of Apple Valley, Karen (Scott) Austad of Mankato, Patty Briley of Burnsville, Linda (Mike) Chabot of Kasota, and Mike Briley of Mankato; brother-in-law, Bruce Oliver of St. James; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Jerry Briley and Tim Briley.
