Carol Mae (Schweim) Brenner

Carol M. Brenner, age 79 of Mankato, died Friday, October 29, 2021 at Mayo Clinic Health System, Mankato.

Carol was born June 3, 1942 to Arthur and Edna (Matzke) Schweim. She attended Immanuel Lutheran School and graduated from Mankato High School. Carol was joined in marriage to Dale Brenner on August 1, 1970 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Mankato. Before her retirement, she was most recently employed by MSU food service. Carol was a lifetime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She loved spending time with family and friends and had a passion for her furry friends. She enjoyed her exercise at AR Fitness in Mankato and the friends she made there.

Carol is survived by her daughter, Lara (Dave) Birk; her son, John; sister, Ann Johnson; and brother, Paul Schweim; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Carol was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dale; son, Michael; parents; sister, Norma Lueck; and brothers-in-law, Harold Johnson and Luverne Lueck.

Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church.  Burial will be at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.  Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Immanuel Lutheran Church or donor’s choice.
