Caroline “Carol” Weinkauf, age 92, of Annandale, formerly of North Mankato, died on Monday, November 11, 2019 at the Annandale Care Center.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, North Mankato. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at the New Ulm City Cemetery. Northview-North Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Caroline was born on August 12, 1927 in Nicollet, MN to Arthur and Elsie (Wels) Lange. She attended Trinity Lutheran School in Nicollet. On May 14, 1950, Carol was united in marriage to Merle Weinkauf in Nicollet. Carol enjoyed league bowling in her younger years. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed baking and playing cards. Most of all, Carol loved spending time with her family. She was active at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church and served as the secretary of the ladies circle.
Carol is survived by her husband, Merle; daughter, Connie (Jon) Boonstra of Buffalo, MN; grandchildren, Leslie (Scott) Gearey of Monticello, Todd (Stacy) Boonstra of Lake Geneva, WI, and Jason (Cheryl) Boonstra of Lino Lakes; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Dawson, and Dylan Gearey, Jack, Alexis, and Sam Boonstra, and Nathan and James Boonstra; sisters, Gertrude “Trudy” Storjohann and Iona Heath; brother, Arlo Lange; brother-in-law, Ervin Weinkauf; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Abbott; and brothers-in-law, Loren Storjohann and Vernon Heath.
