Catherine M. Lentz

Catherine Mary Lentz, age 83, of Good Thunder, died peacefully on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at her home.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 13, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Good Thunder with Fr. Andrew Vogel and Deacon Chris Walchuk officiating.  Visitation will be Friday from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the church.  Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.  Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.  Memorials are preferred to St. Joseph’s Cemetery or Mayo Clinic Hospice.

Catherine was born on November 20, 1935 to Clifford and Colette (Gartner) Bunde in Good Thunder.  She graduated from Good Thunder High School in 1953.  On September 22, 1954, Catherine was united in marriage to Lawrence Lentz.  She was a homemaker and also a bookkeeper for Lawrence L. Lentz Trucking.  Catherine was a lifelong member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and the CCW.  She loved her Tuesday Morning Rosary Gals and Coffee Friends!  Catherine enjoyed crocheting, flower and vegetable gardening, baking, grocery shopping, bird watching, and spending time with her family.

Catherine is survived by her six children, Brian (Connie Jo) Lentz, Cindy (Darrell) Hanson, Ken (Lynne) Lentz, Jim Lentz, Bev (Scott) Dahle, and Christine (Tom) Rahn; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Lentz; and brothers, David (Judy) Bunde and Mike (Mary) Bunde.  She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Lawrence in 2009.
