Charles William Fitzloff, age 88, of Mankato passed away peacefully Sunday, October 6, 2024 at Old Main Village, Mankato Minnesota.

Funeral services 11:00 a.m. Monday October 14, 2024 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Mankato. Burial at Woodland Hills Memorial Park. Visitation Sunday from 1 – 3 p.m. at Mankato Mortuary and continue one hour before the service at the Church Monday. 

Charles was born September 16, 1936 to Carl W. and Lilly Prange Fitzloff. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in St. Clair, MN. He graduated from St. Clair High School in 1955. He served in the U.S. Army from 1956-1959 and was stationed in Korea.

Chuck married the love of his life, Beverly Best at Bethlehem Lutheran Church on January 11, 1959. They made their first home in Virginia for a short time and have resided in Mankato ever since. They were blessed with four children who are the pride and joy of his life.

Chuck enrolled in Mankato Vocational School and graduated with degrees in Machine Shop and Tool and Die. He worked for Best Dairy for a short time and then later became employed by Mankato Corporation/Perfecseal. He worked there for 36 years working in design and sales.

Chuck was a long time member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Mankato having served on the Board of Elders, Trustees and Outreach and Usher Crew Chief and many other activities. He was a 4-H leader for 35 years, State Fair Poultry Show Committee for 25 years and served on the Blue Earth County Fairboard for 15 years. He was also a volunteer with The Boy Scouts of America for 35 years.

Chuck’s hobbies included hunting, fishing, woodworking, camping and lending a helping hand to everyone. 

He is survived by his wife, Beverly of 65 years, three sons, Carl (Kathy), Clark (Sharon) and Craig Fitzloff, one daughter Connie (Rick) Long, Grandchildren Chris (Megan)Fitzloff, Kallie Fitzloff, Jonathan (fiancé Abby) and Thomas Fitzloff, Mariah (Sam) Long-Cerwinske and Jacob Long. Great grandchildren Taylor, Riley, Jack, Kian, Nolan, Odin, Charlotte, Bentley, and Holden.
