Charlotte Marie Hodapp

Charlotte Marie Hodapp, age 97, of Mankato, died at her home on Monday, September 21, 2020.

Visitation will be held from 1 - 4 pm, Sunday September 27, 2020 at Northview ~ North Mankato Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 am, Monday September 28, 2020 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mankato with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Mankato. Charlotte was born June 5, 1923 to Roman & Mary (Nicklay) Roemer in rural Mankato. On February 14, 1944, she married Dennis Hodapp in SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She and her husband farmed a century farm near Mankato. She was a clothing leader for the Peppy Wahoo 4-H Club. She made custom draperies & valances for the “Corner House” for many years. She taught a course on “Fancy Valances at the Mankato Vo Tech School. She received a Certificate of Appreciation from Mankato State College for help she gave the Home Economics Department. Charlotte was so proud to have the opportunity to continue her education later in life and receive her High School Graduation Certificate in 1977. Charlotte was an active member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and served at funeral lunches and soup suppers. She loved to play cards in various card groups and played Mexican Train with her family.

Charlotte is survived by seven children, Joan (Rick) Kaiser of Mankato, Patricia (Roger) Borgmeier of Mankato, Shirley (Tony) Baker of Mankato, Gary Hodapp of Mankato, Arlene (Mark Herzberg) of Madison Lake, Dale (Vicky) Hodapp of Wilmington, NC, Diane Hodapp of Wilmington, NC; 22 grandchildren; and 43 great-grandchildren.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters, Evelyn & Jean; brother, Greg; two sons-in-law; one daughter-in-law; and one grandson.
