Charlotte Anna Oltmann

Charlotte A. Oltmann, age 92, of rural Good Thunder, died Thursday, November 2, 2023 at her home. 

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 13, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Vernon Center.  Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church prior to the service.  Burial will be at the Vernon Center Cemetery.   Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. 

Charlotte was born January 28, 1931 to John and Anna (Kirchenbauer) Jensen in St. Cloud, MN.  Charlotte was united in marriage to Herbert Oltmann on July 17, 1954 at South Santiago Lutheran Church, Santiago, MN.  Charlotte attended college in St. Cloud and earned a degree in education.  She was a teacher in Truman, MN for 16 years.  After teaching, she worked at home and had a big garden and canned lots of pickles, which were the best.  She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Vernon Center.  Charlotte enjoyed visiting, doing crossword puzzles, playing cards, and watching football. 

Charlotte is survived by very special friends, Doug and Karen Peterson of Amboy; sister, Lois Dumonceaux of Brooklyn Center; brothers, Howard (Sharon) Jensen of Brooklyn Center and David (Jan) Jensen of Clear Lake, MN; and nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herbert; one brother; and one brother-in-law and other in-laws.
