Chris was the second son in a family of four children from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Chris’s father was an electrician with the City of Calgary who served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II. As a young man, Chris worked in the oil fields and, later, for the City of Calgary after graduating High School. He served in the Calgary Police Service as a constable briefly and spent most of his city career with the water department. Chris held various sales jobs after he moved to Minnesota in the early 1990s. He became a naturalized US Citizen while Chris and Cheryl lived in Michigan in the early 2000s after being married and residing in West Virginia in the late 1990s. Chris and Cheryl moved to Lake Crystal in late 2003. Chris derived great pleasure from a well-kept lawn, a beverage with friends, and spending time with his spouse and family. He was very proud of his daughters, Rea, Lisa, and Katie. Chris’s love for his grandchildren, Calvin and Gemma, had no bounds.
Chris is survived by his wife, Cheryl; children, Rea, Elisabeth (Nick), and Katherine (Russ); grandchildren, Calvin and Gemma; sister-in-law, Meg; brother-in-law, Roy; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Florence Browning; brothers, Rex and Rob; and sister, Barb.
