Chris J. Karels

Chris J. Karels, 80, passed away, Wednesday, August 11, 2021 in Lake Crystal, after a long illness.

A Private Family service will be held. Lake Crystal Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Born November 3, 1940 to Chris and Martha (Mangelsen) Karels. A native of Blue Earth County, he honorably served in the U. S. Air Force. Chris worked as an accountant for various firms and lived most of his adult life in California, retiring to Lake Crystal.

Chris is survived by his sister, Dorothy Maurer of Lake Crystal; and many nieces and nephews.

Chris was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Ann Gore, Joyce Weingartz, and Ida Kahrer; brother, Nick Karels.

He will be missed by his friends and family, all who loved him.
