Connie Lee (Warrant) Gullixson, age 69, died peacefully at home July 14, 2024 surrounded by her family.
Funeral service will be held 11am Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Mankato. Visitation will be from 4-7pm. Friday, July 19, 2024 at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church and also one hour prior to the service on Saturday at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Mankato following a luncheon at the church. In lieu of flowers please send memorials to Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, Bethany Lutheran College or Minnesota Valley Lutheran High School.
Connie was born January 6, 1955 to Robert and Shirley (Dallmann) Warrant in Mankato. Connie was baptized January 23 and confirmed in her faith at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. She attended and graduated from Mankato High School in 1973. She graduated from Bethany Lutheran Junior College in 1976. She then attended Dr. Martin Luther College in New Ulm.
Connie married James Gullixson on April 19, 1980. Their marriage was blessed with four children who, in turn have added 7 grandchildren to the family. Connie retired from Bethany Lutheran College December 31, 2023 after 30 years working as a Payroll and Account Specialist. She had many other jobs as well, phone company, in-home daycare, Shopko, Zanz, First National Bank, and bookkeeper at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church.
Connie enjoyed reading, traveling, motorcycle rides, being a member of the altar guild at church, playing cards, and being with family. She was a good person to have around when planning family gatherings.
Connie is survived by her husband James of 44 years; her children, Brian (Briana Chermak) Gullixson of Burnsville, Sarah Gullixson of Mankato, Eric (Samantha) Gullixson of Ramsey, and David (Briana) Gullixson of North Mankato; grandchildren Jaci, Leah, Maya, Jacob, Rae, Reese, and Owen; siblings, Tom (Lori) Warrant of North Mankato, Tammy (Dwayne) Lee of Rochester, and Julie (Kurt) Warrant-Warling of Mankato; cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, an aunt and two uncles.
Connie was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend, who loved helping her family and others. She will be greatly missed.
