Cordelia Kuehne

Cordelia “Cordie” Marie Kuehne (nee Mueller) of North Mankato, MN passed away on February 9, 2023 at the age of 90.

Funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m., Sunday, February 12, 2023 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mankato with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be directed to Immanuel Lutheran Church and School in Mankato. Cordie was born in 1932 to Gottlieb and Esther Mueller, in rural Springfield, MN. She was baptized into the Christian faith at Zion Lutheran Church. After graduating from Springfield High School, she worked as a secretary/receptionist at legal and dental offices. She went on to study at the New Ulm Medical Center to become a Licensed Practical Nurse, graduating in 1958. Thereafter she worked for several years as a geriatric nurse at the then Immanuel Hospital in Mankato.

In 1961, she married Clifford Kuehne, and they were blessed with more than 61 years together and three children. Cordie enjoyed music, playing the drum during her high school years, playing the piano, and singing in church choirs. Among her other interests were family genealogy, gardening, and reading her Bible and devotionals.

Cordie was preceded in death by her parents, Gottlieb and Esther and by siblings, Paul, Norman, and Modesta (Maudie). She is survived by her husband, Clifford; sons, Paul (wife, Kelly), Stephen (wife, Annette), and Mark; and also by grandchildren, Joel and Evan.
