Craig Gary Kranz, age 69, formerly from Amboy and currently of Mankato, passed away Sunday, November 7, 2021 at Oaklawn Rehabilitation Center in Mankato.
Private services will be held at 11am, Saturday, November 13, 2021 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Amboy with burial following at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery. Please share a memory of Craig with his family and view his service online when it becomes available at www.mankatomortuary.com.
Craig was born October 20, 1952 in Mankato to Gary Elmer and Aline Mae (Roberts) Kranz. He graduated from Amboy Good Thunder High School in 1971 and later studied at South Central College. Craig worked various jobs until retirement, including Brown Printing; the family businesses, Kranz Implement and Kranz TV and Appliance; and Palmer Bus Company.
Craig was a dedicated Minnesota Vikings Fan. He also loved traveling to Arizona.
Craig is survived by his daughters, Diedre (Mike) Mulcahy of New Brighton and Nicole (Peter) Lundgren of St. Paul; granddaughters, Bellamy and Mila Mulcahy; father, Gary Kranz of Amboy; siblings, Kay (Dave) Wendelschafer of Cleveland, Kristine (Jim) Houtman of Texas, John (Valerie) Kranz of Amboy, and Cara (Yooshik Jeon) Kranz of Chicago; and many nieces and nephews.
Craig was preceded in death by his mother, Aline Kranz; sister, Ann; and beloved dog, Scooter.
The family would like to thank the dedicated and hardworking staff at Oaklawn Rehabilitation Center for their loving care and compassion for the last three years.
