Curtis Ralph Murrain

Curtis Ralph Murrain, 77 of Mankato, passed away May 21, 2019 at his home in rural Mankato.

Funeral service will be 11a.m., Wednesday May 29, 2019 at Hosanna Lutheran Church in Mankato. Visitation will be from 4-7p.m., Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Mankato Mortuary, 1001 N Riverfront Dr., in Mankato. Burial will be at Vernon Center Cemetery.

Curt was born August 14, 1941 to Ralph and Viola (Paul) Murrain in Mankato. He graduated from Winnebago High School in 1959. On September 23, 2006, He married Debra Haken. Curt retired from Scheels after 30 years working as a salesman in firearms. In his free time, Curt was an active outdoors man including gardening, fishing, and hunting. He loved sports including softball and basketball. He was a part of the same softball team for many years. Most of all Curt loved visiting with people and sharing life adventures. He was a kind, gentle, and humble man and will be greatly missed by many.

Curt is survived by his wife, Deb; son Mike Murrain, daughter Kate Murrain; grandchildren, Owen and Dexter; daughter Angie (Kenny) Wiebensohn, step-son Andy Benson, and step-daughter Elizabeth Benson; sister, Inez (Wes) Madison; and his black lab, Jasper.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
