Dale F. Rose

Dale Frederick Rose age 85 of Savage and formerly of Mankato died Friday, October 15, 2021 at Our Lady of Peace Hospice in St. Paul, Minnesota.

A Celebration of Dale’s Life, Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday October 23, 2021 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Mankato. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the church on Saturday. Burial will be later at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Mankato Mortuary in charge of arrangements.

Dale was born April 28, 1936 to Carl and Florence (Bruels) Rose in Mankato. He graduated from St. Clair High School. Dale served his country in the US Army from December 1955 until September 1958 with two years in Germany. He was united in marriage to Janice Pofahl on September 21, 1959 and just celebrated 62 years of marriage. Dale was employed by Midwest Coaches Bus Co. in Mankato, Jack Rabbit Bus Lines of Sioux Falls, SD and Mankato Land to Air until retirement in 2010. He was an active member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.

Dale is survived by his wife, Janice; three daughters, Tammy of Minneapolis, Kelly of Savage, and Mary (Terry) Mundt of Crystal; grandchildren, Stephen and Julia Guzulaitis of Savage, Emily and Christian Mundt of Crystal; sisters, Shirley Hardie of Minnetonka, Sharon (Tom) Dauk of Madison Lake, Cynthia (Larry) Sterle Marine on St. Croix, and Kimberly “Cate” (Dan Bonin) Rose of St. Paul; brothers Dean (Ardis) Rose of Mankato and Terry (Dorothy) Rose of Lady Lake, FL.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Gary.

May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the donor’s choice.
