Daniel Scott Binstock

Daniel S. Binstock, age 52, died Monday July 12, 2021, with his family at his side in Rochester, Minnesota.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1 – 3 p.m., Friday July 16, 2021 at Mankato Mortuary.

Dan was born on December 3, 1968 in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin to Merlin and Caroline (Schmidt) Binstock. He spent much of his time growing up on his aunt and uncles farm in rural Courtland. He graduated from Nicollet High School and went to attend College in Austin, MN where he studied mechanics. He had a love of classic muscle cars and owned a 1970 Plymouth Cuda. Dan completed basic training with Company A, 2D Battalion, 39^th Infantry Regiment and was awarded a maximum score on the hand grenade assault course.

He loved all animals but especially loved his cats. He enjoyed spending time with his sister, nephew and niece.

Dan is survived by his mother and father, Merlin and Caroline (Schmidt) Binstock; sisters, Dawn Bond, Renee Henze, Kristin Kuntson, six nieces and nephews.
