Dannie Lee Peterson

Dan Peterson, age 69, of Mankato, died on December 5, 2024 at Hillcrest Rehabilitation Center after a brief battle with cancer. 

Dan was born on July 26, 1955 in Redwood Falls, MN to Donald and Joan Peterson. He graduated from Belview High School. Dan served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Midway. On July 14, 1978, Dan was united in marriage to Terri. They lived in Renville and then built their dream home in Granite Falls. Dan was employed by Southern Minnesota Beet Sugar Coop. in Renville, MN for 35 years. After retirement, Dan and Terri relocated to Mankato. He was a member of VINE and enjoyed playing cribbage and pickleball. Dan loved traveling and spending time with his grandchildren. 

Dan is survived by his wife, Terri; daughter, Omni (Jeff) Kiecker; three grandchildren; father, Donald; brother, Darby; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joan. 

Dan will be interred at a later date at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Redwood Falls. Memorials are preferred to the V.A.
