Darlene Glaser

Darlene Mae Glaser, age 90, of Good Thunder, died Monday, July 10, 2023 at the Mapleton Community Home with family at her side.

Memorial service will be held at 1pm, Sunday, July 16, 2023 at Mankato Mortuary (1001 N. Riverfront Drive, Mankato, MN 56001) with visitation one hour prior. Darlene was born January 31, 1933 in Blue Earth County to Val and Vera Page. She was united in marriage to Richard E. Glaser on September 26, 1963 in Algona, Iowa. For many years, Darlene worked as a nursing assistant in Lake Crystal. She enjoyed movies, butterflies, reading, taking naps, cooking, and watching people clean her home. Lovingly nicknamed Call of the Wild, Dar Baby, Vera, and Little Sweets, Darlene treasured time spent with her family. She was kind, considerate of others, and loved telling stories. She’ll be forever missed.

Darlene is survived by her children, Randal Glaser of Good Thunder, Tim (Jean) Morrison of Adell, WI, Renee Morrison of Lake Crystal, and Mike (Nina) Morrison of Santa Anna, CA, special granddaughter, Monica (Jesse) Schumacher of Princeton; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard; sons, Dan and Pete; sisters, Lorraine, Janet, Donna, and Fern; and brother, Kenny.
